About Linda Dow's HEALING WITH HEART...
It all started August 4, 1988 when I asked for a sign from God and one hour later was knocked off my feet by a lightning strike on Lake Windsor Golf Course. A golf club was struck directly, but being knocked to the ground with both arms and legs straight out in front of me didn't bother me as much as the ringing in my ears and spots in front of my eyes. Two and a half years later I managed to piece together that "knowing people were in pain" on numerous occasions had all happened since the lightning strike.
The truth is that I now believe I was given the Gift of Healing in that moment by God, but in my heart I felt that I needed professional training to become a healer. After six years of trips to the East coast, an Anatomy and Physiology course at Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin, 72 required individual psychotherapy sessions and approximately 2,600 classroom hours of study, I graduated from the Barbara Brennan School of Healing twice, with the second being in their brand-new Advanced Studies in Integrative Medicine certification. It was then I was privileged to go to the North Hawaii Community Hospital on the Big Island of Hawaii in Kamuela for my internship program.
I worked in the Family Birthing Unit, doing healings on newborn babies, new moms, moms in labor and staff. I have so many amazing stories from my time here! I returned the second year and also added doing pre- and post-op healings on people going in for surgery.
Since that time, I was honored to be able to teach energy medicine work to my own local students and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Medical School, as well as in Barcelona, Spain for three years.
